Pay per click campaigns, especially those run on the content network, require a lot keywords to be generated. The idea is to add as many keywords as possible into your campaign, test it for a suitable length of time, and then weed out any of the underperforming keywords. Luckily, Keyword Elite 2 allows us to expand our keyword lists very easily using the Keyword Surge module.
First, the Keyword Surge module allows you to append keywords to the beginning or end of each keyword in your keyword list. Lets say you wanted to localize your keyword list. So for example, if one of your keywords was "guitar course", you could use this feature to automatically add the keywords "san francisco guitar course" or "guitar course san francisco". Imagine doing this for all the major cities, and you multiple your keyword list 10 or 20 fold.
There's also a neat feature called "mix up keywords". For multiple word keywords, this will swap the positions of each word to create new keywords. So the keyword "christian dating advice" would generate keywords like "dating christian advice", "dating advice christian", "advice dating christian", "advice christian dating", etc.
Finally, Keyword Elite includes a feature called Google ABC. This takes a particular keyword like "affiliate theme and searches google for that keyword + each letter in the alphabet. This could return extra keywords like "affiliate theme promo", "affiliate theme thesis" that the initial search wouldn't have uncovered.
Keyword Elite's Keyword Surge is an extremely useful tool for generating and expanding your keyword lists. By getting enough relevant keywords to bid on, you can increase the number of impressions for your ads, and hopefully that leads to increased traffic and profits. If you have a copy of KE2, I would encourage you to play around with it some more.
